Language Fusion
was founded in 2004 with the belief that a language services
company can provide outstanding service to its clients while being socially & environmentally
responsible. In fact, it is our belief that these ideas go hand-in-hand.
Our Staff
We rely on a core group of long-term, highly educated, highly effective staff.
We take steps to foster an outstanding and supportive working environment and
we make health insurance and other benefits available to our entire team.
Our Technology
Through on-going, thoughtful development of our web-based systems, we respond to the
needs of our clients. By focusing our efforts on automating aspects of our processes
which directly affect our efficiency and the client experience, we free our staff to
address services which aren't necessarily bettered through automation.
We believe it is our balance of technology and human service that gives us our edge.
Low Overhead, Low Fees & Better Quality
The application of our technologies to traditionally manual processes allows us to
keep our overhead low. This enables us to keep our fees low for our clients while paying
our linguists competitive wages. Attracting and retaining high quality linguists
translates directly into better service and quality. Automatic reminders
and schedule management ensure our linguists are on time and on schedule.
Reducing our Impact
Today we are all aware, more than ever, of the environmental impacts of everything we do.
In our offices it is the electricity we use, the paper we file and fuel we use commuting.
Choices we've made to mitigate our impact include:
- Our offices are centrally located, easily accessible by foot, bike and bus
- We recycle and reuse ink and toner whenever possible
- Paperless faxing and scanning & storage of electronic documents reduces our paper use
- Our paper output is shredded and recycled
- We have a corporate bike for lunches and errands
In addition, Language Fusion has partnered with
Carbonfund.org™
to offset the carbon costs associated with our doing business through their
CarbonFree™ Small Business Program.
Realizing that our interpreters travel heavily in their automobiles while working,
we purchase carbon offsets for each mile our interpreters drive
enroute to and from their jobs.

Currently Language Fusion is the only RID member-agency in SW Washington or N Oregon.
